Do you get a free data allowance? If not you need to work out your mobile operators data costs in addition to the 1p charge.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

Not as far as I know! Am just on Virgin PAYG, don't use it much but thought for 1p a text, if legit, it would be worthwhile, if data charges apply, I can't be bothered with it, will just continue to us the free web based ones like CBFSMS etc.

Dunno about this one, but 18185.co.uk are now offering texts to UK and oveerseas for 1p and it does work. But u do have to set up an account, register a card, and you send the texts from inside your account. But it works!

a text message is 1kb of data so your data charges will be insignificant, so may well be worth checking out.

But that can only be done from the web, I am assuming http://www.fishtext.com/MOBILE/ can be done from a mobile, if not then I would continue to use Finerea, aka, 1899,18866,18185 etc, and this thread will be obsolete

Fishtext is from your mobile, you can download the application here: http://wap.fishtext.com/FishText.jad

Seems that it actually costs 2p to text UK numbers... Vyke offer the same service but charge $0.02 so 1p
