Talk Talk vs Tiscali

I was just about to go with Talk Talk as Tiscali appears to have a bad service but just looked at this weeks Martin's Money Tips and he is now recommending Tiscali as per my price comparison at the start of this thread. Just wondering if anyone else has opinions on Tiscali.

I ordered Tiscali back in April, It was a deal for for all day & night home phone and unlimited broadband @ £14.99 for the first 3 month going to 19.99 there after. I called several times and was told I will recieve my free modam by the end of the week and I will be connected. It is end of July and dispite gaving them deadlines after deadlines then finaly asking them to cancell my order by phone and e-mails no one has been intouch. then suddenly tuesday evening I had a call from Tiscali to say that my broadband has been trasfered to another provider and the file is closed. He was anable to tell me the conection or the transfered date. He couldnt even tell me to which provider and by who this transfer was done!!!!!!!. I just called BT and aparently my phone is with Tiscali and broadband with BT. Can they do this? I have not asked for this service and have no idea what are the charges for this neither the day they took over. I asked if Tecali was the old Onetel? he did not answer. Does any one know who Tiscali is are they the old Onetel? I did have a very bad experiance with Onetel before they changed their name to Talk Talk then sold it to carphonewarehouse. they were taking money out of my account month after I moved away from them and my banck told me I could not do anything.

OneTel was bought by Car Phone Warehouse (CPW) a few years ago. CPW own TalkTalk.

Tiscali has nothing to do with OneTel.
