If you look at the Ryanair.com Terms and Conditions, you’ll find that’s not the case.
    7. Applicable law and jurisdiction. Disputes arising from the use of this website and the interpretation of these Terms of Use of the Ryanair Website are governed by English law.
I can see that, thanks for pointing it out, but it all looks a bit ambiguous, could it mean that the website itself is governed by English law, and not the company
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I had the same problem yesterday - being conned by Ryanair. Screen showed me that the debt card fee would be £1.20 per sector but after paying the invoice showed I had been charged £4.

For three passengers and return flights, that means they have defrauded me of £16.80. No point in phoning, but does anyone have any ideas about what to do to get some recompense here?

  • If anyone can get a new number, pls post. My husband, son and I are supposed to be going to Dublin this Thursday - just for the day. However, our baby daughter has the worst case of chicken pox our doctor has seen in years and we don't think my husband will make it as he will saty at home to look after her. (she would have been staying with my mum, as at 6 months old I think she's too young to fly). I've been trying to reach ryanair to find out what will happen if one of our party cannot make the flight, but haven't had any joy yet.
    Any ideas / advice - I'd be grateful.

Nothing happens. He/she becomes a "no show!" The rest can travel regardless

It may say that burried in the T&C, but on the screen where you book the flights it says £1.20:confused:

just to the side of the box where you fill out your debit/credit card details it says "click here for information on handling fees"

when you click, a box pops up telling you what fees are charged
