Little UHT Milks

I've just booked a cheapo holiday to the sun! Whohoo!

As its only a basic 3* there's no tea/coffee making facilities, so I'm taking a kettle and coffee with me, as I can't manage without my morning cuppa! I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get some of those little UHT milks,(preferably free) that they usually have in hotels, to take with me?

Please can you pm me, as by the time I get chance to go on Saturday, all the good sources will have been dutifully raided by some of the canny MSE'ers who will read this!

Thanks a lot in advance,
rm

Will be arriving after supermarkets have shut, unfortunately! Only going for a few days and I don't really want to have to buy a lot in a pack, and then have to bring them back home with me!

I've bought them from supermarkets in the past - Tesco/Waitrose. Might have been in with the dried milk. You may need to look hard - last time I got some, they were on the bottom shelf so a bit hard to notice if you didn't already know they were there.

head to the alcohol section. you can get lovely little pots called Tipples - cant say they only contain milk, but they are in 'Jiggers' (technical name for plastic milk pots)

or just go to any self serve cafe, buy the cheapest hot drink, and then take a handfull of the milk pots (adding loudly 'how you like your drinks milky') and discretely put the 'spare' ones in your bag

other than that, in the UHT milk aisle, they sell something called 'Moo Milk' usually in with the milkshakes, but its 3 small cartons of long life milk for around 90p - its in a blue carton, and looks like a kiddy drink (as it comes with straws)

Thanks for your replies. My partner doesn't like skimmed milk powder or coffee mate, which is why I asked for UHT milk!

Flea - thanks for that - jiggers! I didn't know what they were called! That's why I could only describe them as "milks".

Thanks for your great suggestions folks - I'll see what I can find when I'm out and about at the weekend! ;)

If your preferred drink is coffee, than you can buy those instant cappuccino drinks which contain milk powder and come in sweetened and unsweetened flavours. I always carry a few packets of these in my flight bag and can make a cup of coffee as soon as I arrive at my destination. I don't think you can get the equivalent for tea unfortunately.

you can buy UHT milk in cartons at the supermarket, from ribena size cartons up to orange juice size cartons, and even 2ltr bottles. keeps well, so if you are likely to get through a fair bit this might be better for you than trying to get a lot of the little 'jiggers'
