Hi all,
I need a new laptop as mine is slowing down. It will mainly be used for downloading from the internet and doing work on. It will be required to run a few programmes at a time if that makes any difference.
Hard drive space is not too much of an issue as I have a 500gb external hard drive.
I am looking to spend under £400, a lot less would be better but don't want to scrimp too much as my laptop earns me my wages.
It also has to be wireless enables (is this standard these days?)
Any help appreciated.
A friend of mine mentioned a dell laptop that was goiong for about £300 and was voted best budget laptop in a magazine but I couldn't see anything of that price on their site. I have also been told to avoid celeron (?).
Cheers
Barrie

If you mean Lasky's and not Acer then yes.
I've bought two or three things from them (Humax pvr etc.) and had no problems whatsoever. The name Lasky's was around and on the high street years ago and it would seem the name has been re-launched for internet sales?
