    Hi,

I've just tried ringing the Orange shop in Preston and have been told that the buy back on old phones is £50. I have missed the £100 buy back by a day apparantly. He also told me I would have to wait 2.5 weeks for a new Sony K750i.

Just my luck to miss the £100 buy back by a day!!

    Hi

A quick question re the buy back of the phone. I am thinking of handing in my old Nokia phone which works, but has a habit of turning itself off - probably dodgy battery connection?! Um, does any one know whether they would they accept this on the buy back scheme. For instance does the phone need to be fulling working? I'd hate to trade it in and then not get any money back for it.

    Cheers for any advice :j

AFAIK the phone just has to power on thats the only criteria, they send the phones away to a recyling centre then they credit your bill with £100

When I took mine in, the salesman wanted to be able to call up the Phone ID Number to put into the contract he was filling in. So as long as he can do this, the phone can be returned.

Have checked with my local store and they have the sony in stock. I was going to go straight from work tonight but then realised my contacts on my current phone (Sharp GX30) are on the handset. Does anybody know how to transfer?

Also I don't think I have ever bought a phone from a shop, it has always been online! Do I need to take any I.D. with me?

    Thanks

Yes, you need address proof (driving licence will do) + signature proof (debit / credit card)
