The last one I had was as good as always, but the one I got for my mum was apparently really 'stringy' and she was disappointed.

I am glad I wasn't the only one who was disappointed with my recent Oakham chicken. I put it down to it having been frozen, but I often do that so . I do remember that this chicken was from Aberdeenshire rather than Ireland where mine usually seem to come from, so maybe the weather has been affecting them.
I am finding the quality of many foods going down these days, but I wouldn't have expected this of M&S.

I think it depends on the size of the chicken i find around the £7 in money to be the best the bigger ones aren't as nice odd as it sounds!:rotfl:

A £7 one was the biggest I coudl get at our local store last time, and it was not a great one - disappointingly flabby I thought. And it tasted chemically.
I suppose chicken quality would vary a bit with the weather. This particular chicken came from Cambridgeshire I think. (I noticed the accent ...only joking)
