If I had any knowledge of computer parts I would obviously put it right but as I do not know one part of a computer from another this is impossible.
If only it was a question of 20p!!!!
The minutes are always spot on. Only the hours change.

Sounds more like the time zone is incorrectly set. Double click on the clock in the system tray and then the Time Zone tab. What is it set to?
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

    Windows key, then C <enter>, D <enter>
Check Time Zone tab and Internet Time tab. Untick auto sync if this is causing the prob.

Crikey - I paid far too much last time then

Good to know because my daughter Tamagotchi's use CR2032's :T

Yep so do my Cube World gadgets. Probably a few other things I've got but can't think of. Worth stocking up on them and probably worth getting other "button/watch" battery types if you see them in a pound shop. Better than needing one in an emergency and spending something like £2.50 per battery in Boots.

Where did you buy it from?
Poor supplier not to set the time zone correctly!

I'd also check your regional/language settings to ensure it's set to a UK keyboard / UK spell checker

Most CMOS batteries are rechargeable these days so they tend not to be a problem, its just the older machines where you see them giving up the ghost
