Yes, I got there in the end but.... does it come from the UK or am I on the wrong screen now... it is saying about export from the US..... come on, I am having a blonde day here. Will it come from the UK?? I am just waiting to pay!!

Just make sure you check the paperwork e-mailed from Dell if you go for the Finance option. I have just bought an Inspiron Laptop, and the amount quoted on the paperwork was £100 aprox. more than the agreed price. While checking to see what the difference was, it appeared that the details on the equipment schedule related to a Dimension PC, not a laptop. Contacted Dell (not on 0870 number) 4 times before I got through to someone who sorted this out for me. But sorted now - the correct paperwork was e-mailed through about 40 minutes after my last phone call.

Yeah, OK, I got it and bought it - thanks. Have been after a good deal for ages - I knew if I held out something would come along. Having thought about it if it was not being sent within the UK then I wouldn't be charged VAT. Told you it was late. LOL. Finally this will stop my husband moaning about how slow his PC is. Hurrah!! I would welcome the quiet life but am sure he will only find something else to moan about now!!

Hi Do I need video or sound card to play games suchas pizza frenzy or kahuna reef downloaded from game house. I want a bargain pc but not if it can`t do what I want ie play these type of games, surf the net, edit digital photos, save to cd and surf the net. please advise.

No it will not come from the UK - they are manufactured and shipped from the Republic of Ireland. But it will get to you in a few days and you won't have to pay any import duties because it's in the EU. However, because Dell is a US company you are restricted as to what you can do with the equipment due to US law on technology transfer. Effectively you aren't allowed to sell your PC on to companies like Cuba or China (despite the fact that the screens, keyboards, mice and most of the major components are actually made in China and have "Made in China" stickers on them!)
You shouldn't need a video card for basic games but anything with a 3D element will need a card in there.
