improved diesel consumption (will this actually work)

Hi Guys,

Not making any recommendation, i am just simply asking the question will this work?

I seen an report of the "tonight with Trevor Macdonald" programme the other night claiming something similar to this product actually reduces fuel consumption and improves performance of your vehicle.

(dont buy from this website) much cheaper on ebay, but only if it works...

My partner mentioned this to a few colleagues, one of whom's father is a mechanic and he said said it works for about a week and then doesnt any further. The website above claims lots but i am slightly sceptical especialy with the cost of fuel these days.

My question is if it's magnetic, how does it only work for approx 1 week and then stop?

Has anyone ever used one or is using one and what sort of realistic savings if any are being made?

Absolutely right, if it worked for real, why aren't manufacturers putting them on engines in the factory?

Exactly, if it works why isn't it fitted as standard?
Just a gimmick.

These have been kicking about for years.

Best way to conserve fuel is not to brake every time you brake you have wasted the fuel used to build up the momentum.
Read the road ahead and you shouldn't need to brake.

I can't think that Sir Trevor Macdonald would be recommending these, surely he was just pointing out that they are a complete scam! Which they are of course.

They have been around for years in one form or another and with all sorts of claims, for oill CH, cars, improving your sex life for all I know!

There have been some tests carried out on them here and in the USA IIRC and they are no use at all - even for the latter claim!!

Its one of those 'urban myths' that never dies; and while there is money to be made from this sort of scam, and gullible people to buy them, it won't die.
