Will my old water tank be made of copper?

I'm getting a new boiler and central heating system installed in two weeks, to replace my ancient and inefficient back boiler and old radiators.
I've been told by a friend that there's a chance that my old water tank could be made of copper, and apparently copper is really expensive at the moment, so people are offering good money for scrap copper. He said to telll the installers to leave the water tank behind, as they'll try to take it away and then can sell it.
Is this true, and if so how much am I likely to get for it?

Don't know if it will be copper (it should be) - tell them to leave it anyway & all the copper piping (they would take it away and sell it themselves otherwise).
You might get around £3 a kilo - there are different grades of scrap copper, so you would have to ring around the dealers.0
