about SE W890i poor signal problem

I have got a W890i mobile.

all seemed fine but after a few minutes of use the 3g symbol appears and it says emergency calls only

before it says this the phone works perfectly

i have to switch it on and off again but only to get the same prob after a few mins.

How to fix this problem? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

i had the same problem with vodafone this year march till june, they said it was a 3g problem. They registered my complaint and said as soon it was rectified they would re credit my account with the line rental. They were true to their word and credited me £120.00!! this was for 2 phones over a 3 month period}

if you are not on 3, disable the 3g by going to menu > settings > connectivity > mobile networks > gsm/3g > gsm only and see if that has any effect
