XP/Linux file sharing?

Hi,
not sure if this is the right thread, our TV picture has gone a greeny/grey colour. I think it is because my little angel left a toy with a magnet in it nearby. Does anyone know how to resolve this as it looks awful? I think it needs demagnetising but don't know how to do this.

why not just have a usb flash drive set for fat or fat32 and then they should both be able to read it just by swapping it to each one's usb port. Thats what I do with my seperate computers, one puppy linux and one XP.
I want to be able to access files that are around 800mb in size

In xp you need to have file and printer sharing, when you click on my network, you'll have a folder held by a hand icon called SharedDocs. In earOS you need to have shared folder active.I have two PC's, main one running XP and second running a Linux distro. I have a wireless router and want to share
files between the two, what's the best way of doing this?
I know its a media centre but there are better ones out there, mint, (another ubuntu derivitive) will perform just as well. and you can install all the eye candy as well.0
