BEWARE e2save (Carphone Warehouse)

Hi folks
My first post here - feel I should warn others about the above online mobile company, owned by Carphone Warehouse. They offer what seems like a good deal for contracts (although as you pay up front and claim some money back at intervals they are obviously relying on people to forget etc).
Anyhow, we ordered online, having carefully read the terms and conditions, deciding on a contract for £50 a month (will be £18/month after refund), as we are newly returned to the UK and moving around hence no landline. We scrutinised the small print re 08xxx numbers as sadly most companies have these now, and it said "Excludes 0870, 0871 ...(and a couple of others)" so we thought that was good and that 0844 etc would of course be included.
On receiving the phone, we found in the small print on the contract it has further exclusions, of course these are 0844, o845 etc despite this NOT being on the website - the only place you can read the T&C prior to ordering.
Also got a bill for £4.99 "admin charge" - not on their website, and they billed us from the date of ORDER even though we did not get the phone until 4-5 days later. Many calls to them (looking on SAY NO TO 0870 website to avoid their premium rate numbers) later it is like banging our heads against a brick wall. We are reporting the whole matter to Ofcom, OFT, Trading Standards and anyone else we can think of.
To sum up BEWARE this company, they are downright dishonest.

Looks like you didn't do a search on e2save on here first then. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Yep, looks like another person not preparing properly.
The T&C are on the networks website, BTW no-one include 08x numbers into their price plan.
Just make sure you don't mess up your cashback,0 -
If your contract is with O2, and you tell them when you received the phone, they will reimburse the line rental between that point. Other networks may very well do similar.0

You have always got to approach cashback retailers as if they are trying to rip you off and that is because they are and will do if they can get away with it.0
