Not on contract but Orange Payg Free 3000 Evening and Weekend Text offer takes a lot of beating.You have to top by £15 but you get to keep it to use.

i'm a youthworker, so am used to kids who text loads!!

the two best deals seem to me to be:

02 PAYG online - £10 a month top up, including 300 free texts. see here though this assumes she has a phone (you can get decent priced ones too on the site) personally i'd go for this, as you effectively pay £10 a month for 400 texts and you can control spending - i am wary of teenagers having contracts!

or

02 contract deal lots of my youth group have gone for this to get decent phones (though they got 50 texts i am sure, not just 300)
