NTL package reduction

I pay a combined amount of more than £30 a month to NTL 1 mb broadband and a basic phone tariff.Having seen the advertised packages I rang NTL to ask why I was paying so much more than the advertised prices. Rather than try to give an explanation the guy on the other end asked me to wait a few moments whilst he looked into my account. He came back and offered me 1mb broadband with "local unlimited" for £22.49, which is £2.50 lower than the advertised price. This price is not limited in time(the last offer that I obtained from NTL was only for 12 months only they didn't tell me and I only found out when I got a bill with the charge doubled)
