what would we be entitled to

    Your bedroom entitlement is 1 bedroom for a total of 2 people.

    Then you need to continue to the screen where you can see how much that will entitle you to for your area! If you're unsure, if you can tell us where you live, we can look for you x

    You need to look under Local Authority Search or Post Code Search.

    The one bedroom LHA rate for Ipswich is £98.08 per week, so approx £425 per month.

    You are unlikely to be eligible for tax credits, but you will get some Council Tax Benefit (depends on how much you pay, if you pay £1000 a year you would get £3.50 a week, so approx £180 off your total bill), and approx £45 LHA per week (£195 per month).

    Also, as mentioned, your gf will no longer receive IS, though she will still get DLA.

    So the fact im in a 3 bedroom house and only entitled to a 1 bed would they/could they force me to move into aa smaller place ?
    as I love it here and think the rent is very reasonable.

    They would not force you to move, but they would expect you to fund the difference between your LHA and your rent.
