help! where do i stand on this legally?
Hi,
About 5 months ago i got my phone fixed at an authorised nokia repair shop, whilst fixing he asked if i wanted it "debranding" at the same time, i didnt know what this was so he said "basically get rid of the vodafone stuff" so i said yeh ok, phone was fixed and sent back to me (i had travelled to drop it off) and all i payed for was the return of the phone.
3 weeks ago i took the phone into a local repairer that sent the phone off to be repaired as other things had broken on it, i then recieved a call saying that my phone could not be fixed under warranty as serial codes did not match in the phone and that it would cost me £11 to get the phone back unfixed. i looked on the internet and found that debranding the phone VOIDS the warranty.
So basically one nokia centre had voided my warranty!
After much fussing around i have finally got nokia to take this to a management level to be sorted and i am expecting a call back tomorrow, the first guy i spoke to said that i may not be able to get the phone back because of it and i dont want a refurb one!
Where do i stand tomorrow if they turn around and say they wont give me a new one or so so?
just to prepare for the worst!
thanks, Elliot
