I have just seen news article about allsports going bust! I ordered a jacket online which should have arrived this week. Does this mean I have lost my money? Where do I stand?

Someone told me that allsports, sports world AND sports soccer have all gone to the wind, and now only JJB is left...
Their website is still active so ring or e-mail them about your order.
https://www.allsports.co.ukIt's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
Sports & Soccer / Sports World have not gone bust, they are just having one of their continuous sales (a bit like MFI), this time for 're-branding'.
As for Allsports, they are currently in administation. The administrators are hoping to sell the company as a going concern. However they have closed 92 out of 264 original shops and already made over 1300 people redundant (out of an original total of 3200 employees) to improve the economic viability of the company.
So there is still currently a chance you will recieve the goods you ordered. If not, did you pay by credit card - if so contact your credit card company as they will help you. Possibly by using your credit card, the transaction is covered by the consumer credit act making the credit card company equally & severally liable, i.e. they will be responsible for returning your money if Allsports fail to deliver the goods or refund you.
On the link provided above by smartie1976, there is an 'order tracker' - that's probably your best starting point."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I can't say I'm surprised about Allsports going into administration. Their prices are way over the top and the service IMO has always been chronic.0

I did pay by credit card...and order tracking does not look promising...all it says is ordered received 25th september....x x x0

phoned today...apparently goods have not been dispatched because couriers are refusing to carry goods since company went in to administration.
So since the goods had not been dispatched I asked to cancel order and get a refund....no deal. Apparently they are not able to refund credit cards on instruction from administrators! ? They are supposed to be phoning me back once they have worked out how they are going to get it to me...wont be holding my breath!
note website is now closed for internet orders...and displaying notice about administration....x x x0 -
Not sure they're allowed to charge your card until despatch (this was the case some years ago) - get in touch with your card provider. Any way you can check your card balance on-line or by phone?0

I would start here:
http://www.bdo.co.uk/bdosh/website/bdouk/websitecontent.nsf/0/b91f29759cc98d2a8025709300388173?OpenDocument
(apologies for long link, I Googled "allsports administration" and it was the first link)
Also, get in touch with your credit card company - I recently had to call mine due to non arrival of goods (from another retailer, I might add). They did tell me that I had to wait 30 days after the date of order, and also forward any details of promised delivery times, etc. After a few weeks I received a full refund.
Good luck with it.0 -
Normally you do have to wait 30 days to allow the retailer supply the goods.
But in this case, where the retailer has advised the customer that the goods will not be delivered then is the requirement to wait still valid
A good question to ask the credit card company when you call them ...

Thanks for your advice...will phone credit card company as you suggest just to make inquiries

Unfortunately or should I say fortunately we are off to Florida this evening for two weeks so will be unable to pursue Allsports until then. Hopefully there will be a big parcel waiting on our return!
Just had a thought....its Mr Dogroses card...and they wont speak to me!! even though I am a joint name on the card. Will need to coach him first...not the greatest at these things...although he does have other talents

AllSports in Carlisle was being emptied of all stock today into AllSports lorries. It closed down about a week ago without a Closing Down Sale.
Any ideas where if the stock is being sold off anywhere?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
