1 more thing, this may sound crazy but i take it everything is open late? we will not arrive til tea time on day 1 and i thought we could just have a walk about on the first night, maybe visit the piers and promenade with the amusements etc.maybe even fit in the waxworks??.then do the big things the other days..is this feasable? thanks xmyx0

Here are the opening times for the Pleasure Beach.
http://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/openingtimes.php
The last entry to the waxworks is 6PM.
I'm not sure about the rest, but I'm sure they'll be open late enough for your needs.
One other charge is North Pier, 50p at last check, but this is for it's upkeep and refundable on a beverage.
Edit: that is if you want to venture on the pier, rather than amusements, bar and shops etc.0 -
mummyyummy wrote: »2.) tower - once you pay entry into the tower, does that include everything i.e. circus, aquarium etc? is circus good? is it a first come first served thing or do you book?
We went to the tower thinking we would get tickets to the circus but they told us there were no seats left so instead we would get the show which I think started at 8pm on the evening.
I feel the tower is just an over priced trip and not that good attraction to be honest. Yeah it had the aquariums, yeah it had a few show things and yeah it had a kids play area but for the amount of kids in the venue there wasnt ample seating area for the parents so if you wernt luck enough to get a seat you wouldnt be able to keep an eye on the kids.
I personally feel the zoo is a much better day out. We do the zoo each year and its brilliant, the kids will love it. You can take a picnic as there are plenty of benches to sit at or nice grassed areas. There is a shop which sells souveneirs etc. Across the road from the zoo is the big park so you will have a full day out (weather permitting) we all prefer the zoo day out compared to the tower.0 -

No we didnt find out till after we had paid.
You might be ok if you are going before peak period, the day we went was a Bank holiday and the place was heaving, we also didnt get in till 12 ish so probs why we didnt get seats for the circus. I certainly wouldnt pay to go to the tower again as I felt it was just one big rip off.
But having said that others are quite prepared to pay the money and they enjoy it, I suppose we all are not going to like same activities. but like I say id much prefer to go to the zoo and the park, a much better day out and at least the kids get fresh air0 -

I assume you dont have any tesco points as you didnt respond to my mention of the pleasure beach for £7.50 worth, just incase you have, you can also do the tower circus with points0 -
