Have you raised a fault with BT Broadband?
Ask them to raise a slow speed fault & they'll investigate from their end why you're achieving low speeds.0 -
You really need to investgate why your having a problem first, if its a line fault or a problem with your internal wiring, changing ISP's wont help.
Do a speed test as www.speedtester.bt.com as this will tell you if your ip profile is correct for you line sync speed.
Have you done the usual of plugging the router into the master socket etc ?0 -
Yes, I have raised this with BT. Sent a E-mail to the PA of the Chairman. I was told to always contact her after I have had so many faults before.
That shows alot...
BT's Speed Tester don't even work. Dose'nt load! :rotfl:
Thanks0 -
I have had the same problem and found the following forum very helpful

You have to persevere with the BT speedtester, often very busy. No point banging away at BT until you know it's not a fault at your end. http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/troubleshooting.htm“I look like Spiderman at a funeral”~ Karl Pilkington0

EMcG, thanks for that pointer, the web site is great gave me food for thought about getting BT Broadband, bit at least they have a great site to help you out more than some ISP do.You live..You learn.:)0

No problem Renegade, the guys on that site helped me a lot. It's just a shame that a BT forum for informed users gives better advice than their own staff. In the end I couldn't get a decent reliable service from BT and have moved to Virgin cable.
Got it installed today and have speeds of 7MB-9MB all day long - great stuff.0
