On Money Saving Old Style there is a thread on feeding an adult for 50p a day. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1007423
Weezl had another thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=826653 It gives cheap living advice.
Back in the 50's and 60's we were brought up on a little meat, lots of vegetables and potatoes. It was very healthy. Breakfast was porridge made with water served with a sprinkling of sugar and cold milk. We had our main meal at midday. teatime was bread and jam. We were much healthier than children today who eat more 'meaty' meals. Half as pound of mince made two meals for 4 people.
You can do it. You do not have to resort to not paying, this would be worse for you and your family than living on baked beans. Fill your children's tummies with bread, potatoes and vegetables. They really do not need lots of meat.
Good luck. I've been where you are and I did what I am advising you to do. My children are now fit and healthy adults and we did not get into huge debt.0 -

Set aside £100 for the groceries, and split the £70 into three weekly amounts (I know its not much) and then pay what you can to the creditors. They will have to take it, cos you have nothing else to give them. Good luck honey.
couldnt agree more - at least it will show that u are making a payment
chin up, your lil'uns are far more important

Thanks for the post though:oDaisyDaisy82 wrote: »Hi.
Just been reading your thread.
I work for a solicitors in the Probate Department and just wondered if you'd thought about seeking independent advice about the house and your Grandma's Estate. Executors have a year to sort out an Estate without beneficiaries (ie. you) objecting and as its been two years and the hold up has been because of them you might be able to 'force' them to lower the price.
If there are other beneficiaries it is probably worth you all getting together and going to see a solicitor.SAVING FOR OUR FIRST HOUSE DEPOSIT
