What would be the best ?

To save money I'm planning to have my landline taken out.
I need a PAYG sim to ring my mother, obviously the cheapest, about 500 mins a month, a few texts 10/20.
I'm not too familiar with PAYG so any help would be good, I have unlocked handset so any network.

If you wanted 500 mins a amonth on a pay as you go tariff this would cost you an arm and an leg. You have other options
(1) For example you could get a SIM only deal from o2. See the link

There is a choice, and you only have to give a months notice. You would have to supply your own O2 compatible phone but you could get one fairly cheaply from the O2 shop, from a dealer like carphone warehouse or other supplier, depending on what type of phone you want.T mobile also offer some good tariffs in this system, as so Vodafone.

(2) You could also get a phone contract with a phone as well but there are zillions of varieties of these, cashback, 12 month, 18 month. You could research these on this website
