Nile isn't on line at the moment, but that's the way I read the instructions, yes.

Edit: HAND hot water? If it's too hot it kills off the enzymes that deal with the stains.

What do you mean when you say dont add more water? I have just filled the bucket up with ariel bio powder and hot water and stirred it and i am now leaving it for two hours, is this right?

What I mean is.........as you stir the garments in the bucket you might think the water temperature is cooling too fast and be tempted to top it up with more hot water........but don't top it up.;)

It's best to stir/agitate occasionally too..........don't just leave the bucket unattended/un-stirred for two hours.

Can you tell us the outcome, what results you got please?

    No.

I did say you should use Ariel Biological automatic powder.

I said to soak the garments for two hours and then rinse and examine to see if the stains have gone. Then, if the stains have gone you can peg the garment out.

    Hi Nile,

Please could I pick your brains for a minute??

I have a friends tea-towel at home (white with red border and small red name embroidered on) which she had used to cover a curry she gave me. As you can imagine it is now completely covered in curry stains. :( and unfortunately I did let them dry in before I managed to get it in the wash.

I've left it to soak (for hours and hours) in Bio Ariel (def got bio), and have washed it 2 or 3 times on 60 degree cycle with bio ariel again. All to no avail. The stains have faded somewhat, but are still very obvious.

Do you have any suggestions for what I can banish them with. I've got oxy (which I added to the last ariel bio wash), as well as LOTS of other stain treatments, but wondered what the Oracle suggested??

    Thanks in Anticipation,

I'm usually very sceptical about TV ads of the sort they have for that Vanish Oxy stuff, but I have to say I was amazed at how effective it was. We had some items that had had stains for a month or two which had been through numerous washes without shifting them. Soaked them in Vanish for half an hour and they disappeared completely.
