(Rant warning)
Grr went to go into work today and waited for the van at my pick up place. 20 min after I was ment to get picked up I hadn't been so I phoned the agency to find out where the van was and got told they would call me back on the matter. Not long to wait I got the call with them saying they can not get hold of the driver and have no idea why I haven't been picked up as I've been getting picked up at the same place for over a month easy. They told me to go home and wait for another phone call to find out what is happening. Not even 10 min ago I got called saying they STILL can not get a hold of the driver and that I may not have been put on the pick up list  ! I was supposed to start work at 2pm  . They have made sure I'm down for tomorrows list though so I have work tomorrow. However I am down a whole days pay due to this mistake as it looks like I'm not working today  . I am so p****d off. I got some cow on Monday have a go at me as I didn't go to my pick up point as I had not got phoned to say I had work or what time I had to be at my pick up place and now this  . The communication at this place is stupid. If I didn't need the money so badly right now I would be gone like a shot.
(Rant over)
Sorry about the rant but now I have a WHOLE day free that I wasn't expecting. I have no idea what I can do. Last night when I got home from work I sorted out meals for the rats for about 2 months as I didn't know the next day I would get off was  so I can't do that. There isn't anything to do to the garden or to pick today (except the marrow if my dad wants to but that is HIS choice as it is HIS plant lol) as I already looked. I went into town on Monday when the last mess up happened to get most of the food I needed for the week. My ma will be going on Saturday for the rest as I do not need it before then. I'm really bored. I have got to clean the rats out but that will only take half an hour at the most
. Looks like I'm going to be batch cooking today for a few months worth of meals at this rate :rotfl: .
Has anyone got some bore busting ideas that doesn't include spending too much money? I'm thinking of the cinema due to Orange Wednesday if we find a movie we want to see (£8 for the both of us isn't too bad) although that is not as cheap as renting a few movies for the day. However I'm not sure I can really afford that as it looks like this mess that happens at the agency is getting worse and could happen alot more from now on  . How on earth can a place get worse that is already rather bad?

Talking of rats, my local Freecycle is still offering 2 guinea pigs! If they were closer, I'd have rehomed them immediately but, unfortunately, they are about a 120 mile round trip, so not very frugal.
DGD has just gone home and she was so mucky that DD refused to walk home with her! :rotfl: DS has had to accompany them and carry DGD after she spent the afternoon in the garden playing at potato picking, apple picking and pond dipping for the frog, then playing on her bike, all of which she did in her (used to be) pretty, pink slippers and (once upon a time) white dungarees! I think she had fun and certainly kept HS/OH2B busy lifting her up the apple tree. I'm guessing I may be spending some time preparing potatoes and apples for the freezer.
Going to check out Kingjackpot as I received an email stating they had credited my (empty) account with £3 so I could play free bingo tonight. You realise that if it's true, then we have free bingo Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week? I don't know if I can cope, but would love to win something! I need to keep myself distracted all this week whilst awaiting bridge quotes! I do have the first one in  but want to compare it with one in particular that's not going to be available before the weekend. Of course, it had to be a holiday weekend, so this could drag on for days yet! It's driving me crazy waiting to find out if it literally blows our budget out the water!

Marru it's not a secret. It's not even mine :rotfl: . If you type in "rat lady rat mix" into goggle/yahoo/dogpile/webfetch etc you should find it. It may work out a bit more exspencive than what you buy your rats at the moment but it is nutritionally MUCH better and can aid them to live longer and healthier lives  . Oh and if they are healthier they are less likely to incure vet bills :rotfl: . That is a bonus. I gave my mice something simular and they could have lived longer if the two girls had not developed cancer that rodants are prown (sp?) to and my poor boy losing the use of his back legs completely and would not eat much
. I use the veggie option as the rat lady says you can do that but she does not advise it as much  . Hope that helps. If you can not find it just say and I will PM you with a link or something.

Have found lead for phone so here are latest pics, including my curly cucumber:o
the beans are now in freezer, and its toms with everything here and has been for past month or so:D0 -

This is one of the hens as she arrived last night. I tried taking a photo of them both together but they wouldn't pose nicely!Live on £11k in 20110

:j Yeah! More frugal chickens! What are you going to name them?
I checked my kingjackpot account and it had, indeed, been credited with £6 for playing free bingo on the condition you bought at least 3 x £1 tickets i a mage game for £1000 tonight. I've played the rest and managed to get it up to over £20 but it's an account that doesn't let you withdraw until you have played through a stack of cash. I was happy getting the £20 cashback but it would be Ab Fab to 'win a grand' whilst plotting to finance the new frugal-home.I reserve the right not to spend.
