The French based FotoVista group was founded as Studio National in 1970 by brothers Pierre and Jean-Claude Rosenblum. Later in its history the brothers decided to group all of their business interests under the name Les Laboratoires Parisiens or LLP (The Parisian Laboratories).
In 2001 the torch was handed over to Steve and Jean-Emile Rosenblum (Jean-Claude's sons) with the help of investment funds supplied mainly by the LMBO group, a French venture capital firm. They purchased the LLP Group and became the FotoVista Group.
On April 12th 2006, DSG International plc gained a 75% interest by acquiring LMBO Group's controlling stake in the company and shares from the Rosenblum family and a handful of managers, for 266 million euro (approximately £185 million). Under the deal agreed DSGi has an option to buy out the remaining 25 per cent from the family over the following three to five years. The acquisition was subject to approval by the European Union Competition Authority. After receiving approval the company completed the acquisition of 77% of the Fotovista Group for €261 million (approximately £184 million)."

Yeah, they make my blood boil! It took them 3 months to refund a laptop that was sent back to them undelivered by me... it was so late in deliverly I just cancelled it. They said, no problem and issued a refund that day - well, not they didnt, it took them 3 months! Oh yes, I said that already! I chased and chased and got their eventually. They customer services are rude and overall I dont trust them at all... Very dodgy if you ask me. In stock - doubt it, Next day deliverly - nope. Blar blar. Go with amazon, always amazon god bless'em. Never let me down. Shall continue to spread the word re pixmania as would never buy from them again. That was £500 of my money they tried to keep. Gits.0

Whatever their shortcomings once you have ordered anything from them and the order has been fulfilled add them to your spam filter because they send junk emails as if they are going out of fashion. At work two people ordered from them and by the time I set the filter to ignore all email from this lot we were receiving upwards of 30 emails a week just to these two.0
