HELP... lost sky viewing card

Ok, so its pretty common with pesky kids taking your card out and feeding it to the dog/VCR/toaster, but there is a solution!
Basically the only part of the sky card that is required is the chip. Carefully cut about 1cm off the end of the sky card (the bit which sticks out of the digibox), with a pair of scissors. This does not make it impossible to remove but very difficult for children.
This worked a treat on my digibox, and how often do you need to remove it anyhow? I'd love to say i thought of this myself but actually seen this on someone elses box, and they told me why they had done it.0 -
Ours is sellotaped into the box, seems to have avoided that lost card situation after I nearly lost my head looking for it.
Now, just got to find a way of attaching a chain to the remote which also seems to go walkabout. I have a digital phone that will ring when you press a button on the base station. If only sky could put something on the digibox that made the remote beep I would be so pleased.0 -
On QVC the shopping channel i once saw some gadget which came with adaptors to fasten to remotes/keys and a reciever unit which you could use to start each item beeping. It was a bit pricey though.0

well he took it again last night but promptly found it on the floor so resorted to the sellotape as this morning he was at it again!!Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts
