Leaving Orange. How to use my phone with someone else?
Options
Hello all. My 18 months are almost over so called Orange this morning and cancelled my contract, which will now end at the end of July. They made no attempt to over me any deals, and probably not surprising as have only been on £19/month deal with relativey little useage
Anyway, was planning to go with Vodafone sim only for £15/month, and wanted to use the same phone. However when I told Orange this they said I would need a code to unlock the phone and they charge around £20 to give me this. Seems a bit expensive and slightly sly of them given its my phone, but hey I guess its all in the t&c;s somewhere. Just wondering if there is another way?

on contract completion ALL networks have to by LAW unlock your mobile in UK, they can also at thier discretion apply a fee, Orange have new plans coming out 4th July so Orange sim only may be better than it is now or rather get worse lol who knows
i'd from personal experience tell you to stay clear of Vodafone unless on payg as Vodafone call centres outsourced & when it comes to anything off thier script they can be as bad a 3 script off an Indian customer advisorSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
