Not too grown up and responsible, I hope. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Pleased about that, ym. I know that 'with growing up comes responsibility' but it would be a shame to give up all of our 'virtual childhood'. :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. On a serious note, perhaps we should all drink a toast to 'Mike St. Helens' without whom this board would not exist. It is now three years since he started the 'Bankruptcy Club' thread on the DFW board where, at that time, there was a lot of animosity towards those who chose 'bankruptcy' as a means of dealing with their otherwise insolvable debt problems, or, like me, were declared bankrupt by their creditors.
Over the months this thread got so large, attracting and accumulating a wealth of knowledge and support, that the sub-board 'Bankruptcy and Living With it' was created in 2007, leading to today's accolade.
'Mighty Oaks, indeed, from Little Acorns grow'.
So raise your glasses - assuming phil is around to fill them
