Painted Floorboards - What to Use?

Until I can afford to get some decent flooring for my bathroom I've decided to paint the floorboards I've got. I realise that some gaps will have to be filled, and I'm also wondering what sort of paint to actually use? Any tips folks? It's a massive room (about 13' X 10') and I'm assuming I'll need more than one coat of 'whatever'. The boards have been sealed so there's no dust present. Thanks in advance!

You can get special floor paints but they cost. You can use emulsion paint and then cover it with a coat or two of clear varnish. Then you can choose whether you want a glossy, satin or matt finish with the varnish.0

Can't you just get some cheap vinyl for the timebeing0
