I'm pretty impressed with Lidi since visiting, only problem is, I wish they had a bigger selection, I end up having to go to Morrisons also.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

It is nice to know that there are still shops that cater for the poorer members of society. I also find Aldi's fruit and veg very good value.0

I love Aldi for little bargains but as far as a weekly shop I dont think I would be able to do it in there, most of them are not that big compared to Tesco etc but they do have some good buys in them. Depends what you are looking for really!! We have a new one opening in Ludlow soon directly opposite a Tesco.....:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j0

I live in one of the wealthiest areas of England (I am poor of course!!) so I would love to see one or preferably both! There are plenty of comfortably off people visiting too these days. Better in our pocket than theirs, I say.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

You normally find that in areas with lower incomes, shopping is often priced higher, as the only options are small traders and corner shops/convenience stores etc. (Where there's muck, there's brass... as the old saying goes).
Aldis fruit and veg are generally very well priced indeed :beer:0 -
I dont always find them cheaper, and cant do a full weeks shop. There offers are great though but dont forget many of the big chains have offers BOGOF which are great value I tend to stock a lot of these0

However I buy most of my provisions from M+S.0 -
I am sure I read M&S are now going to stock more branded stuff0

The reason I mention Aldis fruit and veg is because I was in Marks and Spencers a few days go and could not believe the price they were charging.
However I buy most of my provisions from M+S.
The fruit and veg at Aldis (and Lidl) here in Holland pales by comparison to the UK...
I was chatting with my mum the other day and she was telling me about the 60p specials on offer....0 -
They are opening a new store at Monks Cross, York.
Right next to a Sainsbury and Asda! That shows some gumption.0
