I've been with them for just over a year and only managed to reach £28! :(

Just a warning to anyone tempted to sign up to the One Poll iPhone app to make some cash from doing surveys.
One Poll, but so many reasons not too. I had a flurry of surveys for the first few days and I thought 'yeah, I'll reach that £40 payout level soon'. Suffice to say that despite checking the app for available surveys throughout the day I've not had one in weeks. Which leaves me of the opinion that they just get new users to fill out a couple of dozen surveys and then not send them any more there by not having to pay anyone any cash.

Let me know if you've had a different experience but from my point of view, don't waste your time because you aint going to get the money.

I signed up to One Poll last year. I had to do a lot of silly surveys but eventually I got to £40 and they paid out straightaway. So they are an honest organisation and they don't stop sending surveys when you get close to £40.

As it happens, I gave up full time working during the period I was doing their surveys. Once I was able to do the surveys during the day I found I was getting more surveys. So I'm guessing that some surveys are started during the work day, and they get enough responses within a few hours so the survey closes. So if someone is only logging on at the end of the working day they won't see so many surveys.

    I hope this helps.

I don't really think One Poll is worth the effort, but do think they treat their respondents fairly.

It is a good idea to have the app AND check the website too, I find that way I am getting surveys on both, but not the same surveys. You don't get many surveys on the app but that's because so many people have it I think. I have been getting about 4 surveys every other day on the website though.

I have only managed £18 and it seems as if they have rduced their survey payout. I only get to answer the first question on the few surveys I get sent and then it says I do not fit the criteria. It seems as if I do not fit into any of onepolls boxes! I think it will be a very long while before I get to the £40 payout level!

  • I know nothing about the iPhone app, but the comments are a little unfair about the site. I got my first £40 fairly quickly, and yes, I'm struggling at £28 on the next lot, but every survey site I know of has cut back - fewer surveys to do, smaller payments. Onepoll were better before they had screening questions, as then you'd get your pennies for irrelevant answers. Now they're more businesslike, and still will have my business.

Not sure about the app, but in the year (or less) I was with them I got £80. Not bad going from my experience.

I will agree they have gone down hill- when I first joing I reached the £40 within a year and payment was made very promptly. I didn't even have to cheat by doing surveys I was not entitled to! But I think they must have had many inconsistant panelests as they have now added screening questions to many of the surveys which can result in you answering 10 or so questions and then not qualifying. Just another survey site...

I have now taken 10 months to get to £28 and things are really crawling along. I wish they were as good as they used to be but can see this would not make them a viable survey company. Am sticking with them though, I prefer their survey format and the speed to fill in they surveys. I check the site daily (but not at weekends when there are no surveys added). Just a shame they are not as good as they once were.

But I can vouch for speedy pay out and being a genuine company. Almost the same 'speed' as Yougov!!

I have a OnePoll account and have had it for a year and I am currently at £35.70. The surveys on the site appear quickly I normally have 5-6 every few days but that might just be because I am constantly online. Regarding the polls where you answer a screening question to see if your suitable I normally just cheat as you can normally tell what the survey will be about from the title. The iPhone app is a bit shoddy as I rarely get surveys but in the app store they do say that surveys will be scarce so all in all I do think its a good poll site as long as your not relying on the app for surveys.

The best way to make money with onepoll is to regularly visit the website daily, and fill in any polls available. Today I have made 50p, and generally make up to £2 per week. Their surveys are quick and easy to do and don't take much time. Also check the app but it's rare that there is more than one or two surveys a week to do. Have made £100s with them within the past few years.

Also, lately have found that their polls are usually worth 10p rather than 5p.

They are quick payers - straight into the bank account within a matter of days.

I like onepoll and would recommend highly.
