are these survey sites worth it?(merged)

Yes I've had this email today too. They have also said that I failed the quality checks twice which I disputed at the time as I always answer honestly and to the best of my ability. They did not pay me for those 2 surveys which I had completed and which would have been for £6.
I also think that their qualifying questions are sometimes difficult to answer. For instance they ask how many children you have - well my "children" are both over 30 years old and have left home. But they are still my children and I'm not going to say I have no children.
I had this email too (Saying I had failed 2 checks) and like all of you, I remember them AND disputed them! I completely agree that their questions can be confusing. I feel pretty miffed at this email and think it's really rude, considering I've been a member for at least 3 years now. They make you reach £50 before they'll send money out, and aren't quick in doing it either! Feel like I should email back and say how rude I think it is, but am sure it will do no good! :mad:Best 2018 wins: £1500, £500 John Lewis voucherBest 2019 wins: 18 of the latest DVDsBest 2020 wins: £100 cash 2021 wins: 130 books 2021 wins: Jubilee silver necklace 2023: 8xfootball shirts, Spar vouchers, £200 Tesco voucher,0 -

Like you our children are long left but I also put them down.
It seems the thing is to make up one's own mind for the regular questions and always give the same answer. I think I also remember reading somewhere that they time the answers so it is better to take those few seconds longer before hitting any button.
Quite interesting though that a number of us have received this e-mail now. We will just have to wait and see what develops.0 -

I had £42 with them and had just completed a £3 survey. I am very sure I didnt make any errors on it and a few days later they sent me an email saying over the 3 years I had been with them I had made 3 errors and therefore my account was now closed.
Complete joke
That was really hard luck. I have always considered them one of the best survey sites, even if you do have to reach £50 before a payout. Hope they are not going to do this with more of us as we approach a £50 payout - could be a good way to get loads of information for free!!0 -
I've just received an e-mail today pointing out about their quality checks (which I knew). But they have listed 2 occasions when I failed going back about 3 years! I remember them & both were genuine mistakes & I even wrote to them about one of them at the time.
They now say that if I have a 3rd failure I will be removed from the panel and worse still forfeit any points accrued. I wonder why suddenly sending this out after such a long time.
Has anyone else received this e-mail?
Yes, I received it last week for one mistake which also cost me the £2 for the survey. I knew I had done it as soon as I did and it was a genuine mistake trying to quickly skip through a repeated question. unfortunately, I clicked on the wrong radial button. I am totally annoyed by the tactic because for them it is a quality check but for me it just another instance of an irritating repetition of a question, but unlike other sites there isn't a feedback form to point the repetitiveness out!:mad:0 -
I have been a member of Pinecone for some time and have received £4 for each survey completed but nothing extra for testing and reporting back on a sample.
I have just been told by another person that they receive the £4 for the survey, then a further £4 if they receive a sample to test and complete the questionnaire. Also a further £4 if they have to return the test sample.
I would be interested to hear what payments other members receive as I find it odd that they have different payments for members.
On the 2 instances for me I have had the follow up payment for the post test follow up survey :T0 -
What are the quality checks that pinecone do?
I've been a bit suspicious for a while now that since they started paying out £3 a survey rather than the £4 which I get myself I am wondering if they are gradually phasing the £4 a time members out. They never used to send out recruitments so often and it was always quite difficult to join up with them but they keep requesting new mrmbers and the fact that they are kicking old ones out for random reasons is a bit susThanx

I'm sure P'cone do have quality checks but not sure exactly what they do.
The recent comments on here about quality checks and warnings on removal from their panel are referring to It's Your View (NewVistaLive). So I don't think P'cone are removing anyone, I really hope not anyway!0 -
is a german site surprised noones mentioned it they pay in euros its a 20 euro redemption and they check your isp address but they pay on the nail and the surveys can be from 1-8 euros so it can be nice little earner!0

i got 2 euros in like 5-6 months from in your opinion, definitely not a good one in my opinion0
-
i disagree you have to fill out a profile in full and its twenty euros before redemption so thats maybe 2 payouts a year per email address and you have to close down the computer or else it will find out the isp address but after pinecone i think this is the best site.0
