GATSOs are perfectly capable of measuring your speed in either direction. They simply are not type approved to take forward facing shots, and thus such evidence cannot be used against you.

I have been flashed by the very same camera North of Berwick whilst I was travelling South just like you. I never had anything from them.

I was flashed by the camera at 'A' the camera at 'B' is located behind the bridge for North bound traffic, but I think they have removed it or it's there with no lines on the road, either way there's something funny about the camera @ 'B'.

Depending on where you're going to/from, the A68 is a shorter route to Edinburgh
I got flashed by a gatso on the A68 doing a genuine 56-58 (my limit is 50), thankfully never heard anything about it

I was caught by a camera on a slip road of the East Lancashire Road going into Manchester. I admited the offence, doing 60 on a 50 stretch but the copy of the photo, taken by the camera, has arrived in the post today and the lines on the road clearly have the number 60 displayed.

I cant believe this thread has lasted so long without the "drive within the speed limit" brigade arriving ( well except for one)

i just passed the same camera today at a slower speed as i was held up in traffic and no flash this time. it looks like the camera at b as above is no longer there. no nip so far so points look safe.
