Mopods and Orange (UK) - Do they work?

Sorry if this question seems a little trivial, but I was looking at getting one of those Mopod things (those little gadgets that flash & spin when you receive a call or text on your mobile).

My friend had one, and it worked fine (she's with O2), but when I tried it with my phone (a Samsung D600 on Orange), nothing happened.

Can anyone tell me if they use one of these Mopods with an Orange phone? or if they are or aren't compatible with the Orange network?

Please Note:
MoPods are compatible with GSM networks including T Mobile, o2, Orange, Virgin, Vodaphone, however, they're not compatible with Three network.
Depending on environement, MoPods may activate while phone is not in use.

I did Google. I did find the statement you quoted. But it doesn't explain why the Mopod didn't work with my Orange phone.

I also found that Orange uses GSM1800 in the UK, whereas the Mopods quote a frequency response of 800-1600Mhz, which would tend to indicate that the Orange GSM band is outside the range of the Mopods.

That in itself would tend to go against the quoted Mopod compatability list

So, that is why I specifically asked if anyone uses one of these Mopods on an Orange phone.
