Hi, I too am having problems accessing the NW website through AOL. Have not been able to get it since Friday and it is now Tuesday.
Just tried IE and that DOES work. I hope AOL fix it soon!

Yes same here, since Friday. Doesn't work in AOL, Explorer or Firefox. Really annoyed as I have bills to pay.

If you can't access the Nationwide website using IE either, you probably have not migrated from the old AOL network to the new Dialbb network.

I had an AOL update recently (always a bad sign) which has led to this problem of accessing NW by AOL (ok by IE7). I was advised by another AOL user never to use the AOL browser but to use IE, Firefox or one of the others. Try going back to another restore point as I'm sure the problem is to do with the latest AOL update. Strangely out of the websites I use regularly NW is the only one I can't access by AOL.

  • Success at last!

I have had an AOL update CD sitting on my desk for the last few weeks to migrate to the new server. Being of the general opinion that updates are troublesome I have been ignoring it but finally bit the bullet and installed it tonight.

I can now access NW through IE7 but still not through AOL.

Exactly. The issue is related to access to the www.nationwide.co.uk website through the old AOL Inc. network.

For migrated customers (that is, those who have migrated to the new CPWN network, like they're supposed to), the issue is only apparent in the AOL software, since this still tunnels to AOL Inc. - other browsers, such as IE or Firefox, are unaffected.

Customers who chose not to migrate, and are still connected to AOL Inc., experience the issue in all browsers, since their entire internet connection is still going through AOL Inc.

Until the real issue is fixed, everyone should migrate to the new CPW network (AOL Inc. will eventually not be accessible anyway).

I don't know whether this is a related problem, but for the last hour I haven't been able to Sign On at the Nationwide web site. Instead, after a minute or two a window pops up saying: "You have chosen to open signon_WP1.asp" and giving me the option to save it or cancel.

I normally use Firefox, but I tried it in IE7 and the result is the same.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

UPDATE My problem with signing on (above) seems to be sorted. Just signed on successfully.
