Could someone settle something...in light of Dr Whos regeneration yesterday is that the last time for him or does he have infinite regeneration?
Also who is the new one?
And does the TARDIS use Vista?

If I recall a Time Lord can have 12 regenerations.
The Tardis uses open source software, and what makes you think there is a new Dr Who?
You have something on your back. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I think it'll be one of those, where Dr Who goes back in time and stops the events happening, and reverts back to himself.
And as for the TARDIS running VISTA, I doubt it, otherwise he'd have to reboot the Tardis every few hours!
TIMETRVL.EXE has caused a Windows Violation Error; End, Cancel, Retry!A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.0 -

Have to agree with that one. Otherwise how else would River Song have known him in his future if he generates into a new eleventh doctor before they meet."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

:rotfl:
And why did the TARDIS struggle going one second into the future ( flames, bumpy ride, etc ) - it's a time machine and he's a Time Lord ??
And the mobile phone must be on the T-Mobile network with the lack of coverage.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

She didn't recognise him at first though did she, it's only when he said he was the Doctor... plus, I think people can kind of recognise the Doctor even when he's different, just by the fact he's so special.
Anyway, in answer to the original question, time lords can have 12 regenerations (so 13 incarnations in total), but there are ways around this already established (the master did it in the old series)
But anyway, in this case, not sure if there'll be a new Doctor or not... right at the beginning of the episode the camera focused on the hand in the jar, so I'm guessing they might do something like "use the genetic pattern from the hand to preserve the form of the doctor through regeneration"... or something0 -

Not to mention the small matter of David Tennant already signed on to do the TV specials next year."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

LOL. Looks the 'regeneration' gambit is used when the BBC is negotiating with the 'star' agents.
I wish Jonathan Woss would regenerate into a sock-puppet and we'd knock £18M of the BBC license tax.:D0 -
I thought Woss was a sock puppet..an expensive one..hope there aren't 2.
Why does Dr Who need a mobile? It's a police box and they have land lines don't they.
Who put that plastic toy on my back! You don't fool me0 -

So where does the landline plug in to then outside the police box?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

No plug...just a long wire.
Remember to turn right0
