It sounds weird but I think my water smells.
i have a shower, get out and dry myself with a towell and it smells. I can't decide if its the water from me, the water on the towel or perhaps the water the towel has been washed in.
The same sort of thing when i wash the dishes. When dring they the water smells. Is is the water on the dishes or the water the tea towel was washed in?
I have tried soda crystals in the washing machine to unclog anything that may be clogged and causing the smellyness. Some clothes that have just been washed smell aswell :-( it's really not very nice.
I don't know what else i can try or do. Are there any water tests available?
I wen't on holiday for a week and it was nice to have a break from the smelly water!

Sounds like a blockage in the washing machine. You may need to clean the filter.

If you complain to your water board that the water smells or tastes funny, then they should send it in for testing to see if it is a problem with the mains water.0

Even if you use soda crystals it wont clear the pipes, i had to take my pipes off to clear all the gunge inside it was making the sink and washine machine smell0

How do you dry your towels etc, it may be that the smell is in the towels, from them not being dried quick enough.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

Just another thought...do you have a cold water storage tank, possibly in the loft.
Something may have fallen in and be tainting your water. _pale_Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
I often have this problem with towels and sometimes tops. I have come to the conclusion that it is the washing machine/storage of clothes. Sometimes if I dont throughlly dry towels/tops I get this awful smell which seems to stick to you. As soon as I detect this, it's straight into the wash.Regards,
