Get used to it, it hasn’t stopped in my DS and he’s 23. When he was younger his human rights include three proper meals a day and if he missed say lunch because he was out playing his view was that he was entitled to an extra meal later in the day.
The world of children seems to be divided in two camps, one set of parents worries that their children are not eating and the other set worries about how to stop the little bug gers hoovering the fridge clean on a daily basis. Both sorts will grow up into normal adults no matter what you do0 -
My DGS tends to say that he's hungry but it usually means that he's bored. Once you sit down with him and draw etc he forgets all about his "hunger". I make sure that he's had an after school snack and juice/milk but know that if I keep feeding him he won't eat his meal at teatime." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

what about making some smoothies if you have all that fruit to use, could well be out of boredom as has already been mentioned x0

When she complains of being hungry could she possibly be just thirsty? People often mistake the two.
If she's already eating three good meals a day, plus snacks in between, try offering a glass of water next time she's "hungry" and see if that works“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
If she's within the normal range for weight, I wouldn't worry - she'll be hungry because she's using up all the food.
If she's overeating and putting on excess weight, then she may have a problem.0 -
yer doing all that and she loves drinking water (the only kid i know lol) im starting to think shes got worms :rotfl: xxx

My daughter is exactly the same and she is 5 too!! It drives me crazy! I just makes sure I have stocks of crackers and jam or just butter, peantus, fruit, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bread sticks, bowls of dry cheerios, homemade ice lollies as snacks and if she doesn''t want any of them I tell her well there is nothing else til the next meal so up to you. Her head is permanantly in the fridge lol
I sometimes wonder if its because we don't eat that much meat so maybe the food isn't filling her enough?0 -
Maybe she is going through a growth spurt and therefore requires more nutrients.0

how much exactly does she eat in a day, ie a typical day for her? and is she drinking enough water/juice
no health problems that could be causing this? have you had a mention to your health visitor about this, if she is in a healthy weight range then i wouldnt worry too much so long as the extra food is healthy and not junk food etc
my ds used to eat loads but that was related to undiagnosed diabetes, he didnt have common symptons for that:rolleyes:0
