Oh forgot to say I was proud of myself recently I experimented with my slow cooker and added 5 chicken breasts, half litre cold beef gravy stock, onion and chopped garlic and it came out lovely. Did it at lunch time along with pepping some baked potatoes my OH put in an hour before I got home. It was so nice to come home to a ready cooked meal. I was too hungry to even bother with veg though:o .
Something so simple I had never been brave to try before.
Thanks Nikki thats a great idea.:j0 -

Thanks all for the ginger cake recipes... am going to try one of them (at least one ) and also the twinks hobnobs again. We have no biscuits or cake in the house at the moment... but we've finally bought a new (ie used for one year) oven off ebay for only £67 so we are right chuffed to be able to bake again without the house smoking out!
