3 internet from Spain

A friend is off to spain for a few months and has a 3 internet access (one of the dongle thingies), £10 per month.

What is the best way of using this in Spain, is there a sim card that can be used in it, or is there an alternative provider that can be used in Spain?

If its used via 3 UK how much will it cost?

Your friend needs to look at the contract, the £10 per month would only be valid for use in the UK, if it was used from Spain expect a bill for £100s to thousands £.

I've been researching this as well and my head is spinning! I've decided to have my mobile phone unlocked and to use that as my modem - I'm not sure how much it would cost to unlock a dongle! Sim card wise I've decided on YOIGO they charge 1.2 euros a day or 25 euros a month for 1gb download traffic. Call charges are also very reasonable. They are supported by Movistar so should have a decent coverage. You can buy the cards at Carrefour or at any branch of The Phone Shop and you'll need your passport with you
