Office 2003 Or Office 2007

Office 2007 is one of the few pieces of software that microsoft have actually done something new and innovative on - i.e. the ribbon interface. I had to use it last year for a project I was working on with a friend (Excel and Word). He stuck to 2003 and I was using 2007. Suffice to say I was way way more productive. This is one thing microsoft have actually done well.0

There is an add-in that can be used used to give Office 2007 the same basic menu as Office 2003, and makes it so much easier to use. It is called Classic Menu for Office 2007 and cost £15.55 to buy, I use it and it is brilliant. You can download a free 15-day trial here:

Once you've got used to the ribbon then you'll see how much of a round about the houses way Office 2003 was.0

Isn't that like buying a Ferrari and replacing the body with a Mondeo body because "that's what you're used to"? It's worth the effort of accepting the change as ultimately it's far more intuitive and far more efficient. The whole reason the ribbon interface was introduced for office was because of the endless menu structure that Office 2003 ended up being. That interface was never intended to be so over burdened with so many functions."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
