Don't feel sorry for him, a 0 feedback buyer is almost certainly a scambuster. The seller has probably just run up a huge FVF for a sale that the buyer has no intention of buying.

That's probably why the buyer ignored your advice, he was working on his own agenda.

  • PayPal dont cover e-books or links either - they only cover tangible goods which you have to prove are delivered.

If you buy a laptop link (or more often a mobile phone link) then you open up a whole can of worms regarding insurance and chargebacks!
I eBay, you eBay, we eBay.... just do it!!!!!

that buyer was a scambuster, by the way...
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

This guy has another one of these 'for sale' and if you look at the bid history, all the bidders are eBay newbies. I can't believe that they are all 'scambusters'. Someone is going to lose a lot of money. Who knows what conditions are attached to the 'free laptop' when they eventually use the link? Probably to recommend six friends who must do this, that and the other, while hopping on one leg and singing the Marseillaise in front of 150 Eskimoes, or something.

    Makes me cross.
