Well the weather has been truly fan-flipping-tastic!!! Got 1 sons hair chopped and paid some of DS1s money into his ISA. Spent this morning hoovering and then tidying up outside, loaded the trailer ready to take down to the worksop later on, which has now been done. Had an early lunch and then went up the valley to the river and pool the chaps play in, took the dos as well, though she was a bit of a pain as other people were there and she was shaking herself all over everybody. Very hot managed to persuade OH to slap some sun cream as he's terrible for not doing it and I told him he wasn't setting a good example!
DS1 then treated us all to an ice cream which was really nice of him and appreciated. Had a slob in the bath and just catching up on here its been very quiet so I presume everybodies enjoying the weather.

Feeling MEH. Just had my riding lesson and normally I'm buzzing and feeling really good. Not this time. I did ride my lovely boy again, they've hogged his mane the poor chap, looks like he's been scalped. Did have a different teacher but have had her before. It probably sounds like sour grapes but the other lady I go with did so much more than me. Every time she cantered she had to do 20m, 10m then 5m circles on each rein and if it didn't go right do it again. I got to canter once round each time to the back of the ride and only on 1 occasion did I get to canter a circle. To finish off we did some jumping, which was ok but not my bag. I was thinking at one point I'm paying 20 quid to ride a couple of circles. Maybe its because its coming up to the time every lady loves (not) or I'm just being a grump. The only other thought to put into the pot, is that the horse I ride is over weight and does get puffed so his limited, however I'm limited as well due to my weight which ones I can ride. The other girl thought it was fantastic and to be fair she did have a great lesson, rides a challenging horse which she loves and likes jumping. I came out and said I thought it was crap! I haven't booked another lesson because the office manager is off and we are taking a new site on that week so will be busy.

I'm sorry Lucielle that you didn't have such a good lesson. If you have to miss it for a while because of work maybe you could afford a private lesson by yourself when you go back? Or do they do hacking? That might give you a boost?
I know what you mean about the cost though....but much cheaper than owning oneI pay £25 for half an hour with a very scary South African Instructor...he is quiet rude and a bully sometimes (told me I was wasting his time because I was still nervous after 2 lessons!) but I put it down to his way of getting me over my fears! At least I still left wanting to go back. Once I am feeling more confident I might change to a nearer school that has an indoor school (thinking of winter already LOL)
Sounds like work is getting very busy for you too...hope there is more money in it for you?

Boo to the poor lesson. When you've calmed down could you explain what you're thinking to the manager? If you say what it is you want from a lesson they at least would have a clear goal about how to please you.
What is the new site? Surely not another shop???CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
The new site is for work not our business (not yet anyway!). Trouble is V, not sure where I want to go and limited in which horses I can ride.
