Feeling really pants today. Just had a family meeting with chaps to explain that with everything happening we probably wont be going on holiday and the childcare for the summer will be, when OH is off they will have to go to the workshop with him. I'm going to try and have 2 days a week off every week and the other day they'ss be on their own. DD1 has made me feel especially awful. OH is dreading going back to work on Sunday even if it is for 2 days.

Just managed to de fluff the house, sure if my dog keeps mouting she's going to be bald. OH is trying to mend the bath taps and put the new panel on. Trouble is all of his tools are now down at the workshop.

Tomorrow hoping to go to WIlkinsons and get a few bits and then go to Asda and get a months worth of cereal. ALso need to feed the car. Paid 100 quid off the debt yesterday.

    Hi Lucielle,
Have spent the last few days reading through your diary...wow I'm so impressed with how far you have come. You and your OH have done some serious debt busting!! You must be so proud!

Hope things go well with your new business once it is officially opened. :)

You are a definite inspiration for me. My debt is tiddly compared to what you have overcome but I'm hoping to work as hard as you have to get it gone asap, as me and my OH really want to start saving up for a deposit for a house.

I'm sure your children will adapt quickly to the new situation. Its not ideal for them, but at the end of the day all that you are doing is ultimately for their benefit. I have 2 dogs and can sympathise with all the hair! Seem to do nothing but sweep the laminate floors, and hoover the sofas and carpets!

Awww, thanks for reading. Debt wise things aren't going as quick as I'd like, OH has had his wages cut and I'm trying (sometimes failing) to budget for things better, like cars and oil etc. I know they'll be ok, its just I didn't have a great childhood and want better for mine.*sigh*

Lucielle, from everything I've ever read on here, I think your children are having a great childhood. Nothing is ever perfect, so they wont have a holiday and will have to go to work with their dad (which they will probably enjoy) - so what? They have a fantastic mum and lots of wonderful opportunities.

(((Hugs))) for having a pants day yesterday Luceille.

I second what Seaxwyn said. I bet when it comes to it your kids will love helping their dad at the showroom and especially 2 days at home on their own doing what they want! From what you write on here your kids have a great childhood ...all that countryside and your lovely cakes...not to mention 2 obviously loving and hardworking parents! And seeing their parents setting up their own business will be setting them a good example for their futures!

hope you get you get out in the sunshine today and don't spend it all doing chores

EyeBright have you got a diary?

Hi Lucielle, I have been reading your diary but never posted. Nevertheless, you are a great inspiration - your focus on reducing/eliminating your debt is catching.

I run marathons and you know what? The last four miles are really hard - and I can never keep up. But the important thing is to keep on and to complete the marathon. I suspect it is very similar with debt - you are at the last four miles. And I am cheering for you.
