Decisions, decisions indeed! I admit I'm always pro buying rather than renting if at all possible so I thought would you be able to buy the house and leave the doing up to another year or 10? We've been here for almost 26 years and it's been a work in progress...................still is. Area has gone "up" in that time and our new neighbours sort it all out beforehand whereas we're still working at it. But the space has been great even if we haven't been able to use/heat it all during the winter!

    But that's us....

Trouble is V, that any spare money should be going back to my sister as they do need paying back, not on a new kitchen etc. It would be a drain on our resources and I really have had to think with my head (yes it did hurt). At the price its on for I can't see it hanging around. In a way I wish the builder had found something major wrong with it and it would've made it so much easier.

Ah yes of course repaying family has to be the priority. Would the kitchen be liveable with for a few years? Or would it still be a stretch just buying it?
There will always be another house on the market though.

I'm sure you have your head around it all L. You are clearly more than capable and obviously are the "glue" that keeps it all together in your family.

(I felt like saying that "keeps all the balls in the air", terrible mixed metaphor and the thought of juggling balls with glue..............)

My preferred saying is to 'keep all balls bouncing.' The kitchen would be liveable and I would be fine with that but for the next 25 years? I'm sure these things would niggle away at you and you get to the situation 'wouldn't it be lovely if........'

Been to look at another property tonight, its a lot less money which is a big plus but I think its going to be too small. 3 bedrooms, fine we can cope with that but no scope for an office. It does have a dining room but no scope to put a table in the kitchen and I hate eating off my knee in the living room, now and again is ok.

My boss was trying to show me the workshop he's thinking of letting us, still not found the keys, so it was a case of pressing our noses up against the glass and vaguely trying to see whats in there as its full of junk. OH still hasn't been for a peep yet.

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day as the TV peeps are coming to the office to film the boss. Should be interesting as we were told to tidy our desks!!! Have washed my hair in readiness to go hide in the loos when the cameras are rolling!!!!

I'm not sure enjoy is the right word as I'd rather have something sharp inserted if you get my drift!!!!
