  • Hi Lucielle, finally caught up with all of your diary. What a long way you have come since your very first post :) Congrats on everything, the debt, weight loss and imminent new house. Sorry to hear about your horse, my sister is exactly the same re her horse and it was a heart wrenching decision for her too.

Gosh thanks for reading Bob, I tend to lurk on your diary. House was interseting. It was, well the only way I can put is tired. Its not in bad nick but needs some tlc. ITs a long way for both of us to get to work which must be taken into account as the fuel prices are horrendous. Its cheaper than the other one, a bonus. Regards to fixtures and fittings he would leave the lights and the carpets to be negotiated. I have to say he would probably have to pay me for taking them. Awful patterns and threadbare in places.

That doesn't sound like the house for you then.
There will be plenty more for sale and hope you find one that ticks all the boxes

Thanks- i enjoyed it, i love seeing the whole journey and the difference in folk- if that makes sense. You have shown a lot of determination:D

Hmm, regarding the house, i would look beyond the fixtures and fittings. If you want it and they are so awful, i wouldn't even bother negotiating-odds on the vendor knows they are bad and will probably leave them anyway.

Not sure it will be the right one for us. Just paid another £136.32 towards the debt. Treading carefully as we are away nextFriday and have very little in the spending pot. Have promised the chaps fish and chips tonight. Was going to take them swimming but the pool's closed.

Ds1 seems to have aquired another ferret, which brings us upto 4. The new one is called Smudge and is very cute. Have just set up a s/o for £25 per month to go into the oil/coal fund as I feel its not getting enough at £5 pw. Nearly paid for DS2s ski trip. Still got to get his passport and spending money together. Have got the passport pictures and will complete the form when I get back from holibobs.

Yesterday was funny whilst I was helping out at my other job. The boss and son had a meeting to attend so like a trooper that I am (blowing my own trumpet here) I stepped into the breach. Had a visiting party that needed bacon butties (I can do that) only 12. Told the bar staff that I'd cook simple things, toasties, stuff and chips, sarnies that kind of thing. Normally they place the order on their till and we get a print out in the kitchen, they ring a bell as well to tell us an order has come through otherwise you can't hear it with all the fans on and dishwasher running.

I popped out to the bar to make sure the party was in and ready to get their food, thinking to myself doddle I can do this. Started slapping the bacon into the pan and then noticed an andrex sized roll of paper dangling from the printer, nobody had rung the sodding bell. Well the look on my face was pure magic as it all came tumbling down round my ears, had 8 orders that needed to be got PDQ. Luckily boss and son came back in and it all got sorted.

Going to house sit for my sister in London.

Had to laugh earlier, DS1 was playing with the ferret babies and I heard him squealing so I thought one had bitten him. Any way he came bounding in and told me he had a problem. Turns out he was getting some straw out of a bag and pricked his hands on a hodgepig!!!! (hedgehog). I thought it was very funny.

Just had scrummy pork sweet and sour Hong Kong style from the chinese with egg fried rice. Not sure how many points (millions) but it was worth it.
