Still feeling fed up. A new month begins. I have been looking at our SOA as I'm panicing about money (again). I got a shock the other day when I filled the car up and it cost £59 also just put another £20 in it today. Between the 2 cars we are looking at £100 per week on fuel, that's more than I spend on food!

OH is still undecided which shift he is going to do. It has been confirmed that he has got a trapped nerve and is now wainting for some pain killing injections to see if they can get it freed off.

Had a good night on Friday night, myself and the chaps went to a bbq and OH was on the razz with his work mates. He's been promising to go out for the last 5 years and it will be probably be 5 more before he goes again, judging from the state he was in.

DS2 has snapped his brace again. This time I made him come with me as its such a long way. Hopefully a lesson learned, still got to go and pick the wretched thing up when its mended.

Looks like we'll be having baby ferrets in over a months time. The hob is here and he isn't hanging around IYKWIM!!!

Tis blooming cold today. I have indulged myself and purchased 4 new poles to sort my washing line out. Its also going to be extended, nothing worse than having a glorious sunny day and not getting all the washing out. i know how to treat myself.

Old horse is now living out all the time. He is looking a lot perkier and his summer coat is coming through.

I'm with you on fuel L. Our fuel budget is just slightly short of our food budget per month but tbh it could be the other way round. I can't seem to fill up my car for less that £50 now which is horrid. Its certainly making me think about how I use it at home. Unfortunately neither OH nor myself have a choice but to use our cars to get to work and for work at times.

Sounds like you had a well deserved good time on Friday night.

I am finding the increased cost of fuel tough as well - I am trying to get the bus as much as possible and am thinking of getting an annual season ticket for it to see if I can reduce my car usage further.

I know that it isn't such an easy option for you, and I hope you can find a way of getting the cost down!

Where we live its a necessary evil. I am trying to keep my foot off the gas and drive as economically as possible.

Had roast lamb for lunch which was yummy, followed by crumble.

OH and I have been busy working on the ebay shop for most of the afternoon. GREAT

Same here with the fuel issue, we too live 7 miles from the village so it really is a necessity not a luxury. We do try to do lots of things if we need to go out and now OH is working from home we do go out in just the one vehicle and get the shopping done too (the downside to that of course if OH is with me shopping !!!!! normally spend more IYKWIM):rotfl: kinda defeats the object.

Going to try and stop panicing about the cost of fuel, as I can do nothing about it. Nice day but very cold again. OH has rebuilt the washing line but I need to get some more line for the extension.

Made cheese and onion omlette for lunch and we are having stewing steak for tea which is fermenting in the oven at the mo. Got 22 blooming parcels to package for ebay and a few others that have queries on them. Best get on.
