Still got a book mountain at the side of my bed.
Absolutely gorgeous day here, even if the wind is a bit nippy. Children have ridden the boys (miine was a bit naughty) and they have finally been turned out as the ground is hard enough. They couldn't believe it. Just hope I can catch them tonight!
Ds1 has gone beating adn OH is at work. Beginning to forget what he looks like. Going to put some steak in the slow cooker for tomorrow. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Must be nice to have a load of books to read.I haven't ast in bed and read in ages.Think I must do that to chill out.

I luuuuurve my books. I usually have to read some rubbish ones and then I get one I can sink my teeth into. OH hates me when I get like this as all I do is read and he can't wait for me to finish!
Horses were really good and came to the gate when I bellowed at them! I deliberatley left them a bit longer in the hope that they would want their teas. Seemed to work.
DS1 has missed shooting anything that came into sight. Think the local pheasant population are heaving a sight of relief.
In my mind I have mentally paid £270 off the HSBC card. I am thining of ways I can sneak a tenner from here and there.
Have written 2 cheques today for DS2s ski trip and DD2s trip. I will send them to school on Monday.
OH has finally reappeared only to tell me he is got to be at work at 5.00am. great.

You are doing so well Lucielle. I have to say that your diary above the others that I read has inspired me to try and live within a tighter budget... I am still spending as if I am going to have my normal wage coming in rather than sick pay so this week I am going to try and get my act together and keep within around £150 spend.... Awww that is such a lovely post SH. I do wish I could go out and sod it and buy x,y and z and in a way I did at Christmas. I am really trying to budget for most things. There are things that I know are missing, mainly clothes/shoes off my list. Somehow we just seem to find a way. In fact I amazed myself this week by paying for the car tyres without having to use a credit card.
I am lucky in that I'm not bothered about handbags/shoes (show me a nice looking horse rug and I'm anybodies) and definately not a follower of fashon, give me jeans or jodphurs any day, I only posess 1 skirt which I very rarely wear and quite happy bumbling along in my own world.
I am feeling quite upbeat at the moment, so I really hope nothing comes along to piddle on my parade.

Today I have been busy but don't feel as if I've achieved very much. Another lovely but cold day. Horses turfed out much to their delight. Spoke to my friend in France about some of my horsey problems and I think I've got the beginnings off a plan.
Washed our bedding and after it had been outside for a while, thought it needed a blast in the tumble drier. Everytime I switched it on, it kept tripping the electric. OH has had a look but can't 'see' anything obvious. Just have to put it on the bed and switch the electric blanket on earlier!
DS1 has been working on the farm and very pleased they have got lambs, not supposed to be here until May. Shepherd isn't very impressed either.
Took the hound for a walk this afternoon. We had stewing steak cooked in the slow cooker with veggies and mash for tea. I have made a Cajun meatloaf for tomorrow night. Its a new recipe so we'll see how that turns out.
The plan for tomorrow is to finish work, muck out, come home and get the horses in a bit later as its not going as dark so soon.
Managed another £20 off the card as the child benefit was showing in my account. Card now down to £450. Also managed to come in under budget on the groceries so very pleased with that. Supposed to be meeting my friend on Thursday and we might go to the cash and carry. Need to get some coal this week as we are running on dust!!!! That's OHs job.
Had quite a few ebay sales so I've packaged those up for tomorrow, got 6 so far. Right off for a slob in the bath.
