Be Warned - Potential Scam Run By Carphonewarehouse

dear all it is with great regret that i report this but nonetheless CPW have given me no option.
In 2007 my girlfriend upgraded her mobile (paid for by myself) from 200 mins to a 500 mins package and new phone in our local CPW store (colchester).
Long story short, it took until SEPTEMBER for CPW to sort it out and still they did not do it properly.
I recently ran customer services who said, "you CANNOT change the contract in September, you would have had to start a WHOLE NEW CONTRACT or wait for the old one to run out...."
i rarely if ever check the bills, but have found out that the contract is still 200 mins and the bill is DOUBLE what it should be. CPW high level complaints have said,
"Our decision to not reimburse you any further is final" - CHARMING!
this means that an overpayment of close to £200 has been caused by CPW 'improving' my deal. BE WARNED. THIS WAS A WRITTEN CONTRACT AND STILL THEY WILL NOT HONOUR IT!
i'm not sure where to go to get it resolved. any advice?

If you have a written contract with the 500 minutes thing on it, then I would threaten court action as they have not provided the service that you had agreed.
I would think a letter addressed to Charles Dunstone at their head office would be the best way of proceeding.
The other option is to talk to your network directly and explain the situation, it is possible it's an error they've made in processing the change rather than an error CPW have made.Any opinions are my own and are offered as advice only and not fact.0 -
I've got 2 contracts with O2 CPW and i've been very happy. They do screw up sometimes, but you do have to be on the ball a little especially with cashback deals.
But then again there is no such thing as a free lunch, eh?0
